Contract · remote · part-time to start
Buildings, modular kits, world dressing, and the written style guide that keeps a procedurally-placed settlement looking authored.

Audio is covered by a sound engineer on contract. Concept art and narrative open later in production — concept art and narrative are written up if you want to read ahead.
Nothing here fits?
01 · Apply
Portfolio, CV or equivalent, and a short note on which part of the role you are strongest at. No forms, no portal. Reply within five business days.
02 · Chat
A short intro call covering the role, the project and what you are looking for. No whiteboard puzzles.
03 · Trial
A small trial scoped to real work on the project, invoiced at your rate. Not an unpaid test.
04 · Offer
Rate, scope and duration in writing before work starts.
A portfolio of finished work carries more weight than a description of intended work. A small thing that runs beats a large plan.
Work happens in writing. Decisions are documented and sessions are recorded, so a collaborator in another timezone can read yesterday.
Decisions are made on whether the result is better for the player, not on which option is easier to build.
"I don't know yet" is a complete answer. Accuracy about the edge of your knowledge is more useful than the appearance of covering it.
Building one game with a small team has rough weeks. We look for people who hold a steady line through them.
Tools are teachable. Judgement about what is good rather than merely clever is not. Send work that shows it.
The real shape of the studio. Not the pitch.
Arventus: The Frontier Village is the studio’s entire focus. Prior products remain available to their users and are not in active development.
We operate as VoxelWave Studio OÜ (Registry 17417678). All contracts, IP, and payments flow through the OÜ.
Hiring is by scope: the work is defined, the outcome agreed, the outcome paid. Permanent headcount follows revenue rather than preceding it.
Rate, scope and duration are agreed in writing before work starts. No unpaid tests, no surprise scope, no renegotiation after delivery.
No required office. No required timezone. We work async in writing; the few syncs we run are recorded.
Async · recorded · documented
Part-time and contract are first-class. We scope the work, agree on the outcome, pay for the outcome.
Scope · outcome · invoice
If a contract isn't working out, we end it cleanly with what was already invoiced. We don't ghost and we don't trap.
Clean exits · on either side
Arventus is the studio’s entire focus. Your work ships into the vertical slice — not a backlog of three half-built things.
