Arventus: The Long Crossing

A stylized open-world sandbox about ships, islands and the sea between them.

Place every plank yourself, launch it down the slipway, and sail out to islands the generator drew from a seed and nobody has charted.

The crossing

Islands drawn from a seed

Fifteen island types, six coastal traits and five biomes combine into more than nine hundred island patterns before the seed varies a single one. Rivers fall to the sea. A day lasts twenty-four minutes. Weather arrives in fronts.

Ships that float because of what you built

Place hulls, keels, decks, ballast, masts, oars and a hinged rudder on a half-metre grid. Nothing is scripted: every piece displaces water, sealed air holds you up, and an open gunwale lets the sea in.

A world that looks hand-made

Islands grow on a relaxed irregular grid, so terraces, cliffs and coves look shaped by hand while no two are alike. Brush-stroke foliage, soft sand, painted snow.

The studio

Worth every penny. Worth every moment.

VoxelWave Studio is a solo studio in Bangkok building Arventus with a team of AI agents and its own engine technology — a terrain generator, a ship physics system, a structure kit and a planning AI, all built in-house and owned outright.

We publish what is built and what is not. Every performance figure names the fixture it was measured on, and every unfinished system is labelled as one.
